Review: Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition

I am a BZZAGENT, so I received an invitation to try out Garnier Fructis’ Triple Nutrition Shampoo and Conditioner. I was really excited to try this out because I’m always looking for a good shampoo and conditioner for my hair. Before receiving this product, I didn’t take the time to read reviews before trying it out because I wanted to see if I would truly like it or not. My hair type is THICK but long and straight. I curl my hair about once a month and straighten it about 8 times a month.

What I received in the mail was:

• Triple Nutrition Shampoo – 13 FL OZ. ($2-4 at local drugstores)

Before trying out the product, I was reading and looking at the design of the bottle. In front of the bottle I noticed the words DRY, DAMAGED HAIR. I wouldn’t consider my hair damaged so much but just slightly and at times it would be dry. On the back of the bottle, I noticed how they were going greener (look at the picture above to see how Garnier is going greener). There was also a lot of information in the back like what 3 fruit oils they use, what it is proven to perform, directions, ingredients, etc (all of the information are below with pictures). I also liked how it was a flip-top cap even though it can be messy at times.  

Now, let’s try this product out. The first thing that I noticed was the smell. It was a pleasant smell and not overpowering so I really liked that. I shampooed and conditioned my hair like the usual and my hair felt the same. I did my usual routine after I got out of the shower BUT when my hair dried, it didn’t feel “RIGHT”. It felt heavy, not silky or soft. It made me want to go shower AGAIN so I can get rid of product. I figured that I would give it one more shot next time I showered but still got the same effect. As you can tell, you know where I’m heading. I really didn’t like how it made my hair feel. My hair was greasy within a day of not showering.

What would I give this product & why?  I would give this product a 1.5 out of 5. I really liked the design, how it smelled, and how they are going greener. But, I just didn’t like the texture of my hair after using this product. Maybe this product was for my damaged/dry hair and it wasn’t for me. Who knows… but I would really love to try out another product of theirs in the hair care line. Overall, I wasn’t satisfied with this product and I wouldn’t purchase this item.
