Review and Swatch: Mineral Hygienics Eye Shadow in Moss

Have you ever used any mineral products?
I see them everywhere but I only knew the basic stuff.
Come check out this eye shadow by Mineral Hygienics!

There's not a specific statement about their eye shadows on their website but I did find some things about the ingredients that they used.

The first 2 ingredients are titanium dioxide and zinc oxide which "offer[s] natural, broad-spectrum sun protection effectively blocking both UVA and UVB rays."

Mica = type of mineral
Ultra Marine = a pigment
Iron Oxide = deals w/ color
Kaolin Clay = mineral that makes your skin glow

After doing this I want a makeup ingredient dictionary.. haha

It came in a jar with a sifter on the top. I don't know how much product it holds but there is A LOT. To use the products you can either remove the circle tape on the sifter or poke holes in it. I prefer to poke holes so it doesn't get too messy.

It's very easy to apply since it's so pigmented. I prefer using a sticky base over a primer but whatever works for you! Anyways, I dip the shadow brush in the jar and tap off the excess and apply it onto my lids. If I was going to use this as an eyeliner, I would use a wet eyeliner brush and dip it into the jar, tap off the excess and apply.

Moss - deep forest "mossy" green with very little shimmer or iridescence

Below is a pic of the swatches that I did on my arm.
The top is dry and the bottom is wet.

Original Retail: $13

Here is a look that I created:

I used the Naked Palette with Mineral Hygienics Eye Shadow in Moss.

Highlighter/Inner Corner - Virgin
Crease- Naked and Buck
Bottom Lash Line- Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Underground

Just a very simple basic look. I usually don't use dark eye shadows but I like how it turned out. I would prefer using Moss as an eyeliner though (just a personal preference). It's a beautiful shade and I like it.

What's your favorite green eye shadow? Do you want me to review more Mineral Hygienics Eye Shadow?!

Thanks for reading!! =]
