Review and Swatch: Benefit Coral My World

Have you ever tried one of Benefit's mini sample sets?
Check this one out, Coral My World!

Benefit's Coral My World.

“Two tropical cheek faves in one mini set. CORALista and Sun Beam cheer up your cheeks with a tempting flush and a drop of liquid sunshine.”

It was packaged in a tiny pink box with white polka dots. Inside were the 2 sample sized products (Coralista and Sun Beam) with white cardstock stuffing in between so everything was nice and stuffed.

-Coralista was in a small plastic container that held the blush inside. It was easy to open and close the blush BUT the material is so cheap.

Benefit's Blush in CORALista.

-Sunbeam was in a small golden plastic tube with a brush applicator attached to the white cap.

Benefit's Highlighter in Sun Beam.

It was very easy to apply both blush and highlighter. The blush can be light or heavy (depending on how much you packed it on) and the highlighter was very easy to blend out. Both products were very natural looking yet it brightened up my face.

Original Retail: $12
How Much I Paid: $0 (Thanks to my little sister Kimmy!)
CORALista – 0.1 oz
Sun Beam – 0.13 oz

I really like this set a lot! CORALista gives me that natural pinkish flush (even though you can pack it on if you want it to be more pigmented) while Sun Beam gives me a dewy healthy glow look. I don’t get the whole hype of benefit blushes though so I’m glad that I got a small sample size.  Definitely a great mini set for the price of only $12 though!

What do you think? Would you pick this up for $12? Why or why not?

  1. This is a good deal, but I would not pick this up since I already have many shades that are similar to CORALista (Sleek Rose Gold, NARS Orgasm, theBalm Hot Mama.. & a few others). It would make a great gift though.

  4. Hi!
Thanks for the review. I haven't tried much Benefit stuff, so I'd pick it up, not for the blush but for the Sun Beam. I've been wanting to try it for a while, but I'm worried it'd be hard to work with. Did you use it over bare skin, foundation, or foundation & powder? From an Australian perspective, $12 for those two samples is a great deal- here, they'd probably charge us around $30 for the same thing.
