Here are some quick swatches of the ORIGINAL Anastasia Contour Kit plus some of their new contour refill shades in Carob, Cinnamon, Clay, Copper Brown, Earth, and Expresso.
"This contouring collectible contains six blendable formulas to sculpt and define features. Removable and refillable, the set contains all the color needed to start expertly emphasizing eyes, cheekbones, nose, and jawline."
-blendable
-soft
-a little bit goes a long way so don't load up your brush with a ton of product
-some shades are a bit too warm so I personally use it as a bronzer instead
-Carob is way too dark so I use that shade for my brows (leaning a bit red but it is do able for me since it matches the balayage highlights in my hair)

*I purchased these myself;
I bought the original kit at Sephora and the refill palette at Anastasia's site.
**Skin Type and Undertone information was taken from this website.
Here is a color wheel chart from Anastasia's site:
Package change? It doesn't say CONTOUR KIT on the new palette.
I think that some of the shades are still leaning towards the warm side which isn't that great for contouring but hey if you can pull it off then go for it.
I haven't had the new refill shades for long so I'll keep on using them as bronzers/contours and HOPEFULLY I'll update this post into a full review with tons of pictures.
I'm sorry that this is just a quick post but some of my friends were asking for swatches.
Anyways, hopefully this post helps you a little bit since there are so many refill options on Anastasia's site.
Enjoy and thank you for taking the time to read my blog!
Great great great swatches, this was so so helpful!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this post! It's extremely helpful! :D
ReplyDeleteHow come copper brown is listed as cool toned on the contour book but warm toned on the color wheel? If I am warm toned should I get warmer colors or cooler colors for contouring?
